April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star from the United States She is one of a small category of females who have been awarded medals at several Olympics. In Tokyo over the next several days she'll be aiming to secure her third gold alongside first-time Olympian Alix Klineman. However, more importantly Ross hopes to win the first Olympic gold. It could be the last opportunity she gets when she turns 39. However, she remains optimistic that winning the gold medal is just a few steps away. Ross said on NBC Boston that he believes if they play their top, or even one of their best games, we will win the gold. So I'm going to take some luck and hope for the best. Ross is born August 22nd, 1982 on the outskirts of Costa Mesa California. She lived there with her family. Ross played in numerous sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. As a prep-athlete, she also played indoor volleyball and track. It was clear that she was distinguished athlete in this latter game. According to her bio, she was a middle blocker and outside hitter on the volleyball court throughout her senior year of high school. For her efforts she was awarded one of the 1998 Gatorade International Player of the year in Circle of Champions. She also captured the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman have been performing their duties since the year 2017. But, Ross had already been a seasoned athlete in the volleyball world prior to this pairing. She's won big events twice, with various partners. One of them has become an iconic player in the world of volleyball. For six years from 2007-2013 she played along with Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Together, Kessy Ross, she was a major force in the world circuit, winning one of the biggest titles in the world in 2009. They also won the Silver Medal in the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor were the winners, beating them to it. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate when Maytreanor retired. The pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross participated in the Trojans at USC during her high school after she finished high school. Her experience at USC was exceptional. It was her time to be an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 2000. In addition, she helped her Trojans get to the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a heartbreaking personal loss during her sophomore year, but she still repeated as an All-American. Over her final two years within the team, she guided the Trojans to the top of the mountain, winning consecutive national championships. She was a great volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross went on to study the study of international relations in USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the opportunity to witness her daughter become a beach volleyball superstar. Ross's mother Margie died in the year 2001. Ross was still a USC sophomore. Her breast cancer had been diagnosed. She continues to cherish her parents who passed away. In addition, Margie remains a source of energy for her on the shore and in her daily her daily life.
