April Ross
April Ross, a beach volleyball star in the US She is one of a small group of women who have won medals in multiple Olympics. Alix Kallineman is set to compete alongside April Ross in Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal during the next few days. Ross hopes to win more than her initial Olympic medal. This may be the last chance she'll ever have when she turns 39. Nevertheless she is confident that winning the gold medal is within reach. Ross had her birth on the 22nd, 1982 located in Costa Mesa California. She was raised there by her parents. Ross played in numerous sports during her time at Newport Harbor High School. Along with indoor volleyball, she took part in track and basketball as a pre-professional athlete. It was clear that she was cut above the rest in this latter game. In her high school volleyball season According to her university bio, she was a middle blocker, outside setter and hitter. She was awarded in the category of Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999 for her achievements. She was also awarded the Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their duties since 2017. But, Ross was an already a well-established player on the beach volleyball scene before the pairing. She was a winner of several major championships while playing with two other partners, one of which was an icon of volleyball. From 2007 to 2013, she worked with Jennifer Kessy who more recently worked as Klineman's coach. Kessy and Ross were a formidable force in the world of professional sports, winning a 2009 world title together. The two eventually clinched an Olympic silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor's legendary team as well as Kerri Jennings took home the gold. It was fate that had them. Ross was Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. The pair were awarded bronze medals at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross played for the Trojans of USC in her high school after she finished her high school. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was stellar. In 2000, she was recognized as Pac-10 Freshman, and NCAA Freshman Of The Year. In addition, she was an All-American. In addition, she helped the Trojans reach in the Final Four. During her sophomore year she suffered a tremendous personal tragedy, yet managed to repeat as an All-American. Through her final two years at the school, she helped lead the Trojans towards the top of the mountain, winning consecutive national championships. She was a superb volleyball player, winning the Honda Sports Award in 2003-04 as the best female college volleyball player. Ross went on to study International Relations at USC. Unfortunately Ross mother Margie was not able to witness her daughter reach the most elite levels in beach volleyball's acclaim. Ross suffered the loss of her mother due to breast cancer back in 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. Ross holds her mother very dearly. and Margie remains a source of energy for her on the beaches and throughout her daily life.
