Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. The singer combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B to create a unique mix. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed everywhere. Sunshine was born Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta however, she comes in Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing as well as playing the piano at the church. Her musical career began in Atlanta at Spellman College. In 2005, she was the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for all of the country during four performances per day at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be invited to sing for President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
